So Matt provided a fairly dark photo for reference. That caused me to look at the portrait a little differently, and start working through it in a different way – outside my normal ‘process’. As any artist worth their salt will tell you, that’s a good thing to do occasionally. It leads to growth.
At any rate – one part of me wants to rework this and do it ‘in my style’. Another part of me wants to leave it alone. I kinda like the different mojo.
