Here we’ve got the sketch work I did for some Storm fan art. I focused on trying to create a new pose for her. Something that would be natural – falling back onto an uplifting current since that’s how she flies.
I used to have a pretty simple method for inks – one standardized layer of single width ‘ink’. Then, I would add a second ‘bold’ layer with slightly more variety of thickness to the outer edges and those which should be more pronounced because that edge is much closer to the viewer than what’s behind it. As an example – notice the collar of her vest in front of her face.
And here we have the (admittedly rather simplistic) colors for Ororo.
